Terms of Use

These terms are the ones the software presents and requires acceptance of at first launch, in their version of August 19, 2026. No sales are open to date: the software is in free evaluation.

Ces conditions sont la traduction anglaise du texte français, qui reste la version de référence.

1. Purpose

SpatioPsy Genogram is clinical documentation software: it lets you draw, annotate, and print genograms. It installs and runs on your device. The publisher operates no data server and has access to nothing you enter.

2. Your practice is yours alone

You remain solely responsible for your professional acts: your observations, your hypotheses, your clinical decisions, the keeping of your records, and compliance with your ethical and legal obligations. The software draws and counts what you enter; it interprets nothing, recommends nothing, and decides nothing in your place. The Analysis panel counts items you yourself have written and displays them, without drawing any conclusion.

3. It is not a medical device

The software produces no diagnosis, no clinical score, and no therapeutic recommendation. It does not fall under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices and must not be used as if it did. None of its features replaces an examination, an interview, or clinical judgment.

4. Your data, and what it asks of you

The records you create are stored on your device, and nowhere else. The publisher holds no copy of them and therefore cannot restore anything. The counterpart of this architecture falls to you: export backups regularly and keep them somewhere safe. A device that is lost, stolen, reset, or whose storage has been erased takes with it the records that were not backed up.

5. The encrypted vault, and the absence of recovery

The software offers to encrypt your records at rest with a password, with a recovery code provided at activation. If you lose both the password and the code, the encrypted records become permanently unreadable. No one, not even the publisher, holds a duplicate of the keys: that is what guarantees that no one but you can read your records.

6. Evaluation and license

The software can be used free of charge, with no time limit, for up to three records; printed or exported documents then carry the “EVALUATION” watermark. Backups are never limited or marked. The paid license lifts the cap and the watermark. It takes the form of a signed file that the software verifies on your device: no connection is needed to use it, and no account is created.

7. At expiry, you are never cut off from your records

When a license expires, the software switches to read-only mode: your records remain readable, exportable, and printable with no time limit, and your own backups can be reopened. Only entering new data requires an up-to-date license. No record is erased, hidden, or withheld, and no document already produced is altered after the fact.

8. Publisher’s warranty and liability

The software is provided as is, with no warranty that its use will meet any particular need. The publisher is liable for direct and foreseeable damage resulting from its own fault, up to the amounts you have paid it over the past twelve months. Nothing herein limits the publisher’s liability in the event of willful misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury, such exclusions being ineffective under French law.

9. Intellectual property

The software, its code, its documentation, its brand, and its logos belong to the publisher. The license grants you a personal, non-exclusive right of use; it transfers no ownership right. You may not resell it, rent it out, or decompile it outside the cases provided for by law. The genograms you produce, however, belong entirely to you and are exported in open formats.

10. Support

Support is provided by email at contact@spatiopsy.com, in French or English. It covers installation, licensing, and the operation of the software. It can never concern the content of your records: the publisher has no access to them, by construction.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms carry a version number. If they are modified, the new version is presented to you when the software starts and your agreement is requested again. Until you have given it, the software does not open; your use of the software under the previous version remains governed by it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any action, in writing to contact@spatiopsy.com.
